About Worcester County Web Design

Where is Worcester County Web Design based and who do you work with?

We are based in Webster, MA. Our primary focus is small businesses across Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, but we work with clients throughout the United States. Web design has no geographic limits and the process works just as smoothly for businesses in other states.

You work directly with James, the owner of Worcester County Web Design, from the first consultation through to launch and beyond. There are no account managers, no outsourcing, and no handoffs. Every email, call, and deliverable comes from the same person.

Yes. We work with firearms retailers and FFL dealers, including building e-commerce stores for gun shops. Many designers decline this type of work. One important note is that standard payment processors including Stripe, PayPal, and Square do not permit firearms sales. We help clients identify compatible payment options during the project.

Website Design

What is the difference between a custom website and a template website?

A template website uses a professionally designed pre-built layout configured for your business. It launches faster and costs $799 flat. A custom website is designed from scratch around your specific brand, goals, and audience. Custom sites start at $1,000 and offer more flexibility, functionality, and originality. Both options are built on WordPress and include full setup, on-page SEO, and 60 days of post-launch support.

Most websites are built on WordPress using the Elementor Pro page builder. WordPress is an open platform you fully own and control with no ongoing platform fees. For e-commerce, we also build on Shopify and Wix depending on the project needs.

Yes, with one exception. Once final payment is received on a WordPress website project, you own the website outright including the design, code, and all files. We do not lock clients into proprietary platforms. Your domain, hosting account, and website belong to you. The one exception is websites built directly within the Soar CRM platform. Since those sites are hosted within the Soar CRM environment, access is tied to an active Soar CRM subscription. If you cancel your Soar CRM plan, access to that website is also discontinued.

Template websites typically launch within one to two weeks of the deposit. Custom website projects generally take three to six weeks depending on size and complexity. Soar CRM setups can often be completed within a few days. Timelines are always confirmed in the written quote before work begins.

After your website is delivered, you have 60 days to request small changes at no additional cost. This covers text edits, image swaps, and minor adjustments. Changes outside this window or beyond minor scope are quoted separately.

Hosting & Maintenance

Do I have to use Worcester County Web Design for hosting?

No. You can host your website anywhere. However, hosting with us includes managed WordPress updates, daily backups, security monitoring, and active licenses for Elementor Pro and various premium plugins included in our stack, which would otherwise need to be purchased and maintained separately. Plans start at $129 per month.

Your website files belong to you and can be migrated to any other host. Upon cancellation, we will provide reasonable assistance migrating your site to a new provider. Website data is retained for 30 days following cancellation before deletion.

Yes. All hosting and maintenance plans are billed monthly with no long-term contracts. You can cancel or change plans at any time.

Soar CRM

What is Soar CRM and who is it for?

Soar CRM is a customer relationship management platform built for small business owners. It gives you one place to manage leads, automate follow-up emails and texts, book appointments, and collect Google reviews. It is designed for service businesses, contractors, and retailers who want a better system for managing customer relationships without the complexity or cost of enterprise tools. Plans are $97 per month with a 14-day free trial.

Yes. Soar CRM works as a standalone tool for any business. It connects most powerfully when paired with a site we have built since the lead forms, chat widget, and tracking all integrate directly, but it is fully functional on its own.

Yes. Soar CRM includes a 14-day free trial with full access to every feature.

Pricing & Payment

How much does a website cost?

Template websites are a flat $799. Custom websites start at $1,000 with most small business projects falling between $1,000 and $5,000 depending on scope and complexity. E-commerce websites involve additional complexity including product catalog setup, payment gateway configuration, and shipping management, so they are typically priced higher than standard informational sites. A free consultation and written quote are provided before any payment is required.

Yes, for website projects. A 50% deposit is required before work begins on any website build. The remaining balance is due at launch. For Soar CRM there is no upfront deposit. The 14-day free trial converts to a monthly subscription automatically unless cancelled beforehand.

All payments are processed securely through WooCommerce and Stripe. Major credit and debit cards are accepted. Deposits and subscriptions are all handled through the website checkout.

Process & Support

What does working with Worcester County Web Design look like from start to finish?

The process runs five steps. A free virtual consultation to understand your business and goals. A written quote and agreement with a 50% deposit to begin. The design and build phase, with a mid-project progress update so you can give early feedback. A review and revisions round to refine the final product. Then launch, with 60 days of post-launch support included. The full process is described at wcwebdesign.com/process/.

Nothing formal is required. A general sense of what your business does, who your customers are, and what you want the website to achieve is enough. If you have examples of websites you like, those are helpful to share. James will ask questions to fill in the details during the call.

All website projects include 60 days of post-launch support for questions, adjustments, and bug fixes. After that window closes, clients on a Hosting and Maintenance plan can use their monthly content update hours for ongoing changes. Clients without a maintenance plan can request updates as needed, which are quoted and billed individually.
